"I'm Overwhelmed!"

Submitted by Dennis on Mon, 08/30/2010 - 14:02

“I’m drowning,” is a frequent complaint among first-semester law students. “All I want to do is keep my head above water—I feel completely overwhelmed.” These aquatic metaphors are apt. Often, law students find themselves awash in a flood of uncategorized information—facts and theories disconnected from, alien to, often at odds with their intuition, their preconceived ideas, and their personal experiences. As the flood continues, the churning waters begin to soak the students and to drag them down. Just as hopeless drowning swimmers succumb to the raging surf and surrender control to this puissant force of nature, so also do too many wunnelles capitulate to the perceived inevitability of loss of control.
Stress can kill law school dreams.
To the rescue!!  Professor Martha M. Peters, Elon University School of Law, presents this helpful power-packed slide show lesson to teach you what you need to know about stress.
